My students are wondering: “Does the salinity of the ocean water change after it rains?” We would take a field trip on a day NOT following a rainy day to the beach nearest our school to sample and test the water. That would be our baseline data. Should we need to do that for more days? Then, the teacher would collect water the day after it rains and bring it to school to be tested by the students. We would do this for a month, probably November.
