Good question. This article has some good insights on how COVID-19 has impacted the environment and what we can learn from it long-term. It’s worth checking out: https://www.oneyoungworld.com/blog/what-effect-covid-19-climate-change

I like this quote from the author:
It is safe to say that no one wanted carbon emissions to be reduced this way. COVID-19 has a dark cost to our lives, healthcare systems, and mental health of people around the world. Nevertheless, it has also shown that communities can make a difference when they take care of each other, and this could be an invaluable lesson when we face climate change.

Very good question. It really depends on what factors you are looking at to see how it may effect things. The hardest part is this question could take many years of research to fully answer.

Shark, my office has been working from home back in March so many people are driving fewer miles. Could that affect global warming?

Hmm…I wonder if you have some ideas on how that might be? Do you think humans have changed their behavior in some specific way due to the pandemic that might impact climate change? If you can think of some specific change, can you think of a way to measure it? This is definitely a relevant question!
